Parish Health
The Parish Health Ministry consists of Joan Angrignon, Nellie Bennett, George Plant, Trish White, Sandy Holland RN and Jane Marynowski RN under the Leadership of Agnes Bauer BSN plus dedicated volunteers for specific events. We have formalized meetings four times a year to plan programs and health related workshops.
The Parish Health Ministry emphasizes the wholeness of body, mind and spirit rooted in the vision of Christ as a healer. The Say Yes Walking group, Diabetic Support group and Breath, Body and Spirit group as well as nine Seniors Luncheons and health related workshops occur yearly. A home visiting program in collaboration with Rev. J. Short, Rev. C. McMurtry and The Pastoral Care Elders enables us to keep in touch with people who are ill or can no longer attend church. TPHM has collaborated with University of Victoria (Department of Aging) by sponsoring self-management workshops. TPHM continues to develop relationships with Delta Hospital Chaplain Maggie Cole as well other Community agencies such as Deltassist.
