Meet the Music Minister
Welcome to Ladner United Church’s music department!Wherever you are on your journey to wholeness in this thing we call “Life”, we welcome you! Musical expression is an innate part of our communication as human beings. As a community, we are open to the co-creation with one another and with God in our ‘becoming’ more than we were. The music department shares in celebration of each others talents and gifts in creating a safe loving environment in the foundation of making music together. Our music styles are eclectic and range from traditional classical music to a more multi-cultural folk repertoire. We are open to the Spirit to express the gifts you bring. People from our community cover a wide range of diverse vocal and instrumental music ensembles, dance, drama and visual arts. Within the sacred circle of trust, we hold sacred the gift of each person bringing joy by sharing their talents. So if you play an instrument, sing or have other avenues in the Fine Arts and wish to share that within our community, contact me through the church office via email or phone.
My vision is to encourage others to express from within themselves through the Arts. I believe in the creative power of the human spirit. Music is a powerful tool that nurtures to the whole person cognitively, spiritually and physically. By using the tool of music, it is my goal to help uplift the individual person and build a sense of community among the people of the world. That is no easy task in today's market but one well worth the reward. The creative flow from within each of us calls us towards the discovery of inner divinity. Music plays an important role in our lives and in our society. It is my hope that we uphold with integrity the aesthetic expression of those who came before us, as humanity continues to evolve in more creative endeavours.
Shalom,
Kenn
